Matetic EQ Syrah 2018 is produced in a cool-climate coastal subregion of Chile at significant altitude, which builds excellent structure in Syrah. The vintage was very good, and the wine’s balance of refreshing acidity and ripe tannins supports a 10-15 year aging window, with optimal peak in the mid to late 2020s when both fruit and tertiary flavors harmonize.

Food pairing

Pairs excellently with grilled lamb, peppered beef steaks, game meats, aged hard cheeses, and earthy mushroom dishes.
