High-quality producer Egon Müller’s Scharzhofberger vineyard is one of Mosel’s premier Riesling sites with ideal terroir and low yields. The 2020 vintage is excellent with ripe fruit and concentrated flavors. Spätlese level sweetness combined with vibrant acidity ensures exceptional long-term aging, allowing the wine to peak between 15-20 years after vintage when tertiary notes mature and integrate.
Food pairing
Pairs exquisitely with spicy Asian dishes, seafood (shellfish, prawns), roast pork, foie gras, and strong cheeses like Munster or Stilton. Also excellent as a contemplative aperitif.
