Tasting profile
Bright red cherry, wild strawberry, orange peel, earthy forest floor, rose petal, gentle oak spice, hints of savory mushroom.
Evolution: Red fruit will soften, earthy and savory complexity will intensify, floral notes meld; tertiary nuances (truffle, dried leaves) may emerge by mid-peak.
At peak: Supple, balanced, fragrant with a silken texture and evolved secondary/tertiary aromatics, but still fresh.

Abbey Ridge Pinot Noir is one of Oregon's most prized single-vineyard wines, made from old vines at high elevation with dry-farming and organic methods. The 2020 is vibrant and structured, requiring 3–5 years post-vintage to fully express layers of nuanced fruit, earth, and floral character. Well-stored bottles will show beautifully for at least a decade after the vintage.
Food pairing
Roast duck, grilled wild salmon, mushroom risotto, herb-roasted chicken, lentils with thyme, seared tuna, pork tenderloin, mild cheeses (Gruyère, Comté).

Sustainability
Sustainability score: 9/10
Dry-farming, organic viticulture (no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers), cover-cropping, hand-harvesting, gravity-flow winemaking, minimal intervention, use of lightweight glass, on-site composting, wild yeast fermentation.
Cameron Winery is one of Oregon’s pioneers in environmentally responsible winemaking. Abbey Ridge Vineyard has been farmed organically for over two decades, is fully dry-farmed (eliminating irrigation), and benefits from biodiversity and minimal tractor use. The winery’s practices greatly minimize environmental impact: little-to-no chemical input, very low water and energy use, and on-site composting. Lightweight glass reduces transport emissions. Their approach is often cited as a model for sustainable, low-intervention winemaking in the Pacific Northwest.
